Scope and Contents The Helene Musick Papers consist of two letters. The first was written by Peter Musick, a resident of Prince Edward Island, Canada, to Katherine A. Musick, dated May 20, 1915. Katherine Musick was Helene’s step-daughter. The subject of the letter is Peter’s ruminations regarding becoming elderly. The second letter was written by Ansten Lie of Hamar, Norway, to his sister, Helene. The Howard H. Russell Papers contain correspondence regarding his temporary detainment by the Russian Government near Nuremberg, Germany, in 1948. He was in Nuremberg due to his position as Secretary General for the American Military Tribunal. Also included is one letter from Russell to UND President John West regarding the donation of the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials Records in 1949.
