This collection consists of two examples of paper money. The first is a 50 Assignat note from the time of the French Revolution, dated 23 May 1793. The second is a $3 bill from the Bank of Yanceyville, in Yanceyville, North Carolina, dated 1 January 1855.

J. Douglas Leith Papers

The J. Douglas Leith Papers consist of memoranda from the mid-1930s while Leith served as Freshman Scholarship Adviser. He was also a faculty member in Mathematics and wrote several reports on faculty inbreeding and turnover at UND. In addition, there is a newspaper clipping, and two photographs with an accompanying letter (1960) from former UND classmate Dr. Min Hin Li.

Scope and Contents The provenance and donor of the Masonic Lodge Records is unknown. The collection contains over one hundred miscellaneous photographs, many of which have regional ties. A number of photographs depict the Native American tribes of the region, as well as artifacts they created. There are also a large number of photographs related to the Fargo/Moorhead area, including those depicting flooding and city officials.
