World War II overseas caps
Scope and Contents
This series contains several unique artifacts related to the 164th’s service in World War II. Included are a Hawaiian tapa blanket, soil from the memorial at Guadalcanal, a captured Japanese flag with names inscribed, a captured Japanese Kyū guntō (old military sword), a Fijian grass skirt, bracelet, Kava bowl, a Higgins boat tiller wheel, and framed items.
