1883-1956; UND Class of 1903 and partner in the New York City investment firm of Lehman Brothers. Active in the mobilization effort in World War II, through service on the War Resources Board, and on a special survey of the rubber industry. Also a member of the American delegation to the United Nations Atomic Energy Commission

Scope and Contents The first 35 folders contain materials from a History class at the University of North Dakota in 1974 titled "North Dakota in the Depression." Students in the class interviewed North Dakotans about their experiences during the Great Depression. In some cases, a transcription of the interview is included. Scope and Contents

This collection contains oral history interviews recorded on audio cassettes, as well as transcripts of most of the interviews. The interviews were conducted from 1974 to 1990, mostly by members of the Elwyn B. Robinson Department of Special Collections.
