Couzens Bill No. 6 Collection
This collection contains documents regarding a bill proposed by United States Senator James Couzens of Michigan in April 1929. The bill was designed to regulate the "transmission of intelligence by wire or wireless" and to create a "commission on communication." The North Dakota congressional delegation opposed the bill, arguing that violated state's rights.

Fountain L. Thompson Homestead Certificate
This collection consists of the original Homestead Certificate for Fountain L. Thompson, dated 13 August 1894, for land in Towner County. Issued by the General Land Office in Devils Lake, the document is Homestead Certificate #1195. Also included is a 23 June 1953 letter from Senator William Langer to Fountain H. Thompson, in which Langer describes his history with the Thompson family, as well as the agricultural and banking industries in the state.
