Solomon E. Peterson Letters

Scope and Contents

Correspondence to Solomon (Sam) E. Peterson from family members in Sweden and America. Many of the letters are from his father, Peter Olofsson, and from his siblings. Most of the correspondence took place between 1887 and 1892. The letters have not been translated. Much of the content seems to pertain to everyday life and local news from Sweden.

Scope and Contents “The Souvenir Letter Lakota, No. Dak.” consists of an eight page booklet containing pictures of the surrounding area near Lakota, circa 1906. The booklet was used as a letter from Mrs. C.S. Mook to Miss Jessie Stanley Mook, dated October 23, 1906. Mrs. C.S. Mook is most likely the wife of Reverend Mook of the Good Shepherd Church of Lakota, North Dakota.
