"Made for me by a cousin to wear in the operetta 'Molly, Be Jolly.' I was in the 3rd or 4th grade and had the part of Molly--a big deal for me--there was also a dance costume which did not survive. I was in love with the waist line treatment because it reminded me of Snow White's dresses. I used to imagine I was a princess. Mother lengthened it later and it was my Sunday dress for an extra year."
