"Dean Joseph V. Breitwieser, dean of the school of education and director of the graduate division of the University of North Dakota, was listed among the 15 dead in the crash of a Northwest Airlines plane in Minneapolis early Tuesday night. He was 65 years old and lived at 515 S. Fifth St...Born in Jasper, Ind., March 31, 1884, Dean Breitwieser received his early education in the common schools at Tipton, Ind., and after two years at Arcadia, Ind., high school he entered Central Normal College at Danville, Ind. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University in 1907 and his master's degree a year later from the same school.
