"Recognizing the influence Theodore Roosevelt had on the history and minds of North Dakotans, the State Legislature created the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt Centennial Commission in 1957 (S. L. 1957, Ch. 333) to coordinate the celebration of the centennial of Roosevelt's birth."
