Biographical or Historical Information
The Onlooker was a news magazine published by Mike Jacobs and Suezette Bieri. The magazine ran from 1975 until 1978 and examined issues which impacted North Dakota, including strip mining, state politics, coal development and gasification, pipelines, the energy crisis, Garrison Diversion, and air pollution.
Publication of The Onlooke ended in 1978, when it's sole full time staff member, Mike Jacobs, accepted a position as Bismarck Bureau Chief for The Grand Forks Herald.
