Scope and Contents

The Lottie Gravelle Johnson Photographs consist of over 160 individual photographs depicting members of the Gravelle family. Little is known about them, other than the fact that they emigrated from Quebec and settled in Cavalier County, Dakota Territory, circa 1885. By 1900, several members of the family were living in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Although the names of the parents are unknown, the family has several children: Lottie, Lillian, Rose, Sadie, Stella, Zella, Paul, Steven, and Theophile.
