Scope and Contents

The P.E.O. Chapter AY Records consist of five scrapbooks, which date from 1980 until 2024. The scrapbooks contain many photographs, which depict chapter meetings and members. A majority of the photographs are dated and identified. The scrapbooks also include newspaper clippings, obituaries, and chapter programs.

Biographical or Historical Information

The P.E.O. was established as a philanthropic and educational society for women and has chapters and members throughout the United States. Chapter AY held its first meeting on November 15, 1980, and was the sixth P.E.O. chapter in Grand Forks. The chapter disbanded in June 2024.
