Biographical or Historical Information
The Greater Grand Forks Junior Chamber of Commerce, or the "Grand Forks Jaycees", was created in 1949 as an organization to provide young business and professional men, ages twenty one to thirty five, with leadership training, citizenship training, and experience in Chamber of Commerce work, as well as to promote educational and civic activities in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Members were expected to be of good character and moral standing in the community of Grand Forks, and be interested in the betterment of themselves and the community.
The Greater Grand Forks Junior Chamber of Commerce was affiliated with the Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce, the North Dakota State Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce.
