Scope and Contents

The Murray Muraskin Papers consist of journals from Muraskin's overseas trips. Each journal contains photographs and textual descriptions for every location. Some of these trips involved Dr. Muraskin giving a presentation regarding his book, Mathematical aesthetic principles/nonintegrable systems. The journals are arranged in alphabetical order.

Biographical or Historical Information

Murray Muraskin was born on August 7, 1935. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Illinois. He was a physics professor at the University of North Dakota from 1966 until 1995. He published Mathematical aesthetic principles/nonintegrable systems in 1995. Murray Muraskin died on June 4, 2019, in Arkansas.
