Biographical or Historical Information
"Dr. Jerry Max Gasser of Gardnerville, NV, passed away October 3, 2014 in Carson City, NV. Born September 6, 1933 in Grafton to Max and Alta Gasser, he lived in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High in 1951.
He served in the USAF from 1953-1957, returned to UND where he was a member of Sigma Nu, and graduated with a PH.B. degree in 1960. In 1964 he received his DDS degree from Marquette University and practiced in Rugby, Williston, and Grand Forks. He married Sandra Engen in Rugby, ND, August 24, 1958, and divorced in 1972.
Besides music, Jerry enjoyed motorcycling, horseback riding, and genealogy, tracing relatives still living in Diepoldsau, Switzerland.
He is survived by daughters Diane Allen, Nancy Naber (Indianapolis, IN), and Jean Romfo (Cumming, GA); grandchldren Matthew Allen and Jacob and Lauren Romfo; sister Linda Osland (Minnetonka, MN). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene, and sister Kay Bjornson."
