North Dakota Swedish Baptist Conference Records
Scope and Contents
These records include copies of annual meeting minutes and reports of the North Dakota Swedish Baptist Conference, 1918-1929. These were printed in Svenska Standaret of the Swedish Baptist General Conference of America. There are also notes about various Swedish Baptist churches in North Dakota and five photographs of Swedish families in the Kulm, North Dakota, area. All of the copies were made from records preserved at the Bethel University archives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Biographical or Historical Information
The North Dakota Swedish Baptist Conference was organized in 1902. Many of the member congregations had been organized during the 1890s. Overall, about 12 churches were members in the conference. The Swedish conference remained active into the early 1930s, when most of the churches joined with the North Dakota Baptist Convention (American Baptist Churches USA).
