The Grand Forks Oral History Project Records consists of recorded oral history interviews, transcripts and abstracts of the interviews, photographs, and consent forms. The project was administered by Dr. Kim Porter of the UND Department of History and the interviewers were students in her class.

Biographical or Historical Information

"The purpose of this project is to gather reflections and recollections regarding life in Grand Forks during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. This study is intended to provide future generations a view of life in a Midwestern community during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. In particular, the plan is to gather reflections of social life, cultural experiences and community activities during the early decades of the twentieth century." -From the Consent Form for the Grand Forks Oral History Project
