Biographical or Historical Information
The Kindergarten Club was a social group which included some of the most powerful political figures in late 19th and early 20th century North Dakota. Members included Alexander McKenzie, Judson LaMoure, Governors Louis Hanna and Elmore Sarles, and Jerry Bacon, to name a few. When not directing the political affairs of North Dakota, the “Club” members engaged in boisterous partying, including drinking and playing poker.
