"Longtime Minot School Teacher Dies
Mrs. Maude Blaisdell, 60, of 15 Emerson Apartments, a home economics teacher at Minot Junior High School for almost 25 years, died Sunday night in a Minot hospital. Mrs. Blaisdell, widow of the late J.C. Blaisdell, Jr., former state senator and onetime president of the Minot Board of Education, began teaching in Minot schools in 1920. She retired in 1925 to rear her family and resumed her teaching career in 1943.
Surviving are a son, J.C. Blaisdell III of Hazen; a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Sue) Hooker, in California; and a step-daughter, Mrs. D.R. (Elizabeth) Wikoff. Her husband died in 1958."
