The Cora E. Smith Papers consist of information originally part of the UND Biographical File. Included are several articles, a copy of her obituary from The New York Times, and a short letter of recommendation she wrote to President Merrifield in 1893. A program from the 1964 dedication of Cora Smith Hall and remarks given by Lillian Witmer at the ceremony are also included.

Scope and Contents The Gunder Salverson Papers contain materials regarding his service in the Union Army during the Civil War.  Salverson was a private in Company F, First Battalion of the California Volunteers, also known as the California Mountaineers.  Most of the materials concern Salverson's pension after the war.  Salverson suffered from rheumatism and heart disease. This collection consists of tax assessment rolls for townships, towns, villages, and cities in Grand Forks County. The ledgers date from 1880 to 1958, although not every year is included.

Scope and Contents The Reservation Frontier Project Records consist of eleven oral history interviews conducted by Dr. Karen Hansen of Brandeis University. In 1999, she interviewed several people who lived near Devils Lake, North Dakota, especially near the Spirit Lake Reservation. Dr. Hansen's intent was to explore the intersection of the lives of Scandinavian settlers with those living on the reservation.
