1892-1954; Lieutenant Governor (1933-1934) and Governor of North Dakota (1934-1935)

This collection consists of the transcript of a series of oral history interviews with Harry Tannahill, concerning his ten year career working in the UND powerhouse. Dr. James Vivian of the UND History Department interviewed Tannahill in June 1981.

The National Youth Administration Records date from 1934 to 1943 and consist of correspondence, student applications, student assignment cards, reports, and miscellaneous materials.  The collection documents National Youth Administration activities at the University of North Dakota during the Great Depression and the early days of the Second World War.

This collection contains chapter five of Gilbert's autobiography, "Recollections of Life's Experiences." This chapter concerns his  adventures and recollections of his years at the University of North Dakota in the 1920s and 1930s. He graduated from UND in 1930 with a Master's degree.

The Inkster School District #103 Records date from 1888 to 1960 and consist of teacher registers and contracts, clerk's registers, correspondence, documents related to school elections, and miscellaneous materials.
