Scope and Contents The Lottie Gravelle Johnson Photographs consist of over 160 individual photographs depicting members of the Gravelle family. Little is known about them, other than the fact that they emigrated from Quebec and settled in Cavalier County, Dakota Territory, circa 1885. By 1900, several members of the family were living in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Grand Forks County Treasurer's Office Records consist of tax statements and correspondence, dating from 1891 through 1912.  The material deals with the payment of tax bills on pieces of property in the county.
