The Jan and Marya (Derdowski) Kulas Legends collection consists of 1,000 pages of family history research, conducted by Jim Kulas over the span of several decades. The St. Michael's Hospital collection consists of one oversize photograph from 1929 showing nursing students and supervisors.

This collection is a typewritten report entitled "Report of the Lignite Fields on the W.D. Washburn Lands, and in their Vicinity, Located in Burleigh & McLean Counties, North Dakota." Two engineers from Columbus, Ohio, Frank A. Ray and R.M. Haseltine, wrote the report for E.C. Washburn of Bismarck in August 1900. The document is lengthy and contains several large maps, as well as information regarding mining production, thermal levels and water table levels.

Prairie Memory was a symphony composed by Dale Christenson of Grand Forks in 1975. The symphony was set in rural North Dakota during pioneer days.
