The Howard H. Russell Papers contain correspondence regarding his temporary detainment by the Russian Government near Nuremberg, Germany, in 1948. He was in Nuremberg due to his position as Secretary General for the American Military Tribunal. Also included is one letter from Russell to UND President John West regarding the donation of the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials Records in 1949.

1889-1969; UND Faculty Member in the Department of Music, 1925-1960

The collection consists of documents, awards, and plaques related to Dr. Soren Olaf Kolstoe and Dr. Ralph Kolstoe. Of particular note are a pamphlet of the Ralph Kolstoe Colloquium Endowment at the UND Alumni Foundation, two of Dr. Soren Olaf Kolstoe's diplomas, an award given to Dr. Soren Olaf Kolstoe, and seven awards given to Dr. Ralph Kolstoe.

The Kenner Family Records largely consist of correspondence between Wayne Kenner and Carolyn (Krause) Kenner in 1963. Wayne Kenner was living in Fargo as he took classes toward being a school counselor. He was hired as a teacher in Kloten, North Dakota, for the beginning of the 1963 school year.

UND Philosophy Professor from 1954 until 1963

The collection contains correspondence, primarily from Mrs. Owens to her young daughter Sara Madge in 1939. In addition, there are some photographs, four of which are likely of the Owens' children. Lastly, there is an issue of the White Ribbon Bulletin from September 1939. This periodical, published in Casselton, North Dakota, was advertized as the official paper of the North Dakota Woman's Christian Temperance Union.
