From the Series:

The first series consists of bylaws and policies of the department concerning research funds, artifact acquisition, and faculty expectations. Various reports, memoranda, and correspondence are included regarding the overhaul of the department and curriculum. There is also material regarding the North Dakota Intertribal Reinterment Committee, various endowment funds, meeting minutes for different departmental committees, and various correspondences. Also included are newspaper clippings about the department, faculty members, the university, and the state of North Dakota.
