Scope and Contents
Lydia Jackson was a member of Epsilon Sigma Omicron, an educational sorority affiliated with the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The purpose of the sorority was to foster and encourage the literary spirit among club women. As a member, Jackson was enrolled in reading courses administered by the Extension Division of the University of North Dakota. The addition contains her book reviews and critiques of those reviews by Beatrice Johnstone, administrator of the courses written in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
