Ford Foundation: 1965
Scope and Contents
This series documents the financial picture of the Symphony through annual or monthly treasurer's reports and annual budgets, 1961-1987. Fund-raising records list symphony memberships and contributions and describe projects such as the Symphony Ball, house tours, art auction, raffles, cocktail parties, High tea, bridge luncheons, and the Harvest Hoe-Down. Grant records date primarily from the 1970's and 1980's. Grants provided an important source of funding for the Symphony. Major grantors were Dayton-Hudson, the Myra Foundation, Burlington Northern, and the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
