Scope and Contents
This series contains brief histories of the Symphony written by Ruth and Ben Gustafson describing Symphony activity until 1974. Also included are the amended By-laws of 1967, 1977, 1978 and 1983. The By-laws were amended in 1967 to reflect what had been informally in effect since 1959; in 1977 in order to receive an IRS tax-exempt status; in 1978 to allow the Board of Directors the power to appoint an Advisory Committee for the purpose of implementing policy; and, in 1983 in order to reorganize the structure of the Symphony Association.
