Brunelle Family Genealogy
Scope and Contents
Among these family history documents are a two page of a pedigree chart, listing the ancestry of Eléonore Brunelle, married in Oakwood, North Dakota, in 1881. There is also an ancestral chart of Med-We-Goo-Nint, a full-blooded Chippewa who was the great grandmother to Eléonore Brunelle. Finally, there are assorted documents regarding a mitochondrial DNA test used to identify ancestral origins along maternal lines. Jacqueline Keller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, donated these materials to Dr. Virgil Benoit, who in turn deposited the materials in Special Collections in April 2008 (2009-2951).
